QualityConnect

We Are Tomorrow

Our Conference Theme

Quality is easy to feel, but hard to define.

It's what we expect from the products we rely on — fast when it needs to be, clear when we're uncertain, resilient when things go wrong.

What quality looks like changes — with context, with purpose, with people.

It's never just about clean code or passing tests.

It's about understanding what matters — and building like it matters.

Misunderstandings happen. Priorities clash. Assumptions slip through.

But when we take the time to connect across roles — to really listen, to learn each other's craft — we build better. Smarter. Stronger. That's what it takes to create software that truly meets expectations — and sometimes exceeds them. Real collaboration between business and engineering. Developers, testers, product owners, designers, analysts, architects — each bringing their own craft, their own lens, their own insight.

This is a call to connect craft, engineering, and business — to work across roles with curiosity, care, and shared purpose. To challenge assumptions. To ask better questions. To communicate with clarity and intent. To make decisions that balance user needs, technical integrity, and business goals — even when it's uncomfortable.

We don't just ship features. We build systems. We shape experiences people depend on — and outcomes that businesses rely on.

We are tomorrow — not because we predict the future, but because we choose to build it, together.

Call for Sessions

Share your expertise at QualityConnect

We want to create a program that reflects the real work of building quality software — across roles, across disciplines, and across levels of experience.

One that blends deep technical thinking with hands-on practice, and combines thoughtful talks with interactive sessions that challenge, teach, and inspire.

This year's theme, We Are Tomorrow, is about how we build — and who we build with. It's about designing for quality not just in code, but in communication, in collaboration, and in the systems we create together.

We're inviting talks, hands-on workshops, and interactive session ideas from developers, testers, product owners, designers, architects, analysts, and business leaders — anyone who has real and relevant experience to share.

Conference Chairperson

MARIA KEDEMO

Founder @ Black Koi Consulting

I'm a quality engineering generalist with a deep knowledge in software testing, coaching, and technical leadership. Over the years, I've worked across many roles — developer, tester, team lead, mentor, manager — but what's always driven me is the same thing: helping people build better software together.

I take a holistic approach to quality, always looking at how systems connect — not just technically, but across teams, roles, and ways of thinking. I believe that real software quality comes from care, conversation, and collaboration — not just better tooling or faster delivery.

I believe the best learning happens through doing — and I find the most energy in workshops and working sessions where we combine real conversation with practical exploration.

I'm excited to share my journey and insights with you at QualityConnect. Let's build something better together.

Tips for crafting an engaging experience

🔥 1. START WITH A HOOK

You have 30 seconds to convince us to put our phones down.

  • Surprising stat or fact
  • Provocative question
  • Bold claim or prediction
01

📖 2. USE STORIES

Facts tell, stories sell. Use the classic story structure:

  • Character (you or someone relatable)
  • Challenge (what problem they faced)
  • Conflict (what made it hard)
  • Change (how they overcame it)
02

🧠 3. OFFER A FRAMEWORK

Give them a mental model they can apply:

  • 3-5 steps or principles
  • A memorable acronym
  • A visual metaphor
03

👁️ 4. MAKE IT VISUAL

Our audience processes visual information faster than any generation.

  • Use high-contrast, minimal slides
  • One idea per slide
  • Consider a "📸 Moment" — a slide made to be shared
04

🔑 5. BE REAL, NOT PERFECT

We value vulnerability and imperfection more than polish.

  • Share what didn't work
  • Admit your biases or mistakes
  • Avoid buzzwords unless you explain them in plain English
05

💡 6. TEACH SOMETHING PRACTICAL

End each segment with:

  • 1 thing they can try next week
  • 1 shortcut or insight they've likely never heard
  • 1 tool or framework you personally use
06

🧠 7. INSPIRE ACTION

Finish strong. Don't just summarize — challenge them:

  • "If you care about this, here's how you start."
  • "This is where you can make a difference."
07

🔁 8. Encourage Follow-up

Our audience loves continuing the conversation in DMs, Discord, or online.

  • Mention your LinkedIn, Twitter, website, or community
  • Offer a free resource, mini checklist, or workshop
